Are you restricted in your movement afterillness or
accident?

Professional physiotherapy is used to restore your mobility or simply to ensure that you stay fit and healthy. With the right treatment, in most cases you will quickly experience relief, movement and even freedom from pain and general well-being. I offer you a structural approach to your individual therapy, which is tailored to your needs and your medical findings. With in-depth specialist knowledge from orthopedics and neurology and many years of professional experience.

Orthopedic diseases

sports injuries

These include, for example, torn muscle fibers, sprains or strains caused by too short breaks between training sessions, missing warm-up phases or inadequate equipment.

fractures

Accidents in everyday life or during sports often lead to partial or complete fractures. Physiotherapeutic treatment is used to restore mobility.

meniscus damage

Can occur after uncontrolled rotational movements of the bent knee joint, an external impact or sudden extension of the knee joint, which can affect the outer and/or inner meniscus.

herniated discs

Here, the spine is affected when parts of the intervertebral disc protrude into the vertebral canal, in which the spinal cord is located. The cause is often a degenerative change in the intervertebral discs, vertebral bodies, vertebral joints, muscles or ligaments.

knee and hip prostheses

If you have had artificial prostheses fitted in your knee or hip, for example after severe arthrosis, physiotherapy treatment is recommended so that you have good long-term prospects for your everyday life.

shoulder end prostheses

They are used after repeated injuries to the shoulder joint, for example dislocation from the shoulder socket during sport or at home. Degenerative processes in increasing age that lead to arthrosis (omarthrosis), or fractures of the humeral head, as well as loss of articular cartilage due to circulatory problems, can also be reasons for inserting a prosthesis. Individual physiotherapy can help you to increase your mobility.

Neurological diseases

Parkinson

A slowly progressive loss of dopamine-promoting nerve cells, which can lead to movement disorders such as muscle rigidity (rigor), slow movements (bradykinesia or hypokinesia), muscle tremors and postural instability.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) or Encephalomyelitis Disseminita (ED)

A chronic inflammatory neurological disease in which the body's own structures in the central nervous system are attacked, often resulting in sensory disturbances in the arms and legs, visual disturbances and disturbances in muscle function, such as weakness, paralysis, muscle stiffness, balance and coordination disorders.

stroke

Sudden lack of blood supply to an area of the brain. With various symptoms, such as drooping corners of the mouth, speech and vision disorders, paralysis, usually one-sided numbness, dizziness and gait disturbances.

polyneuropathy

General term for certain diseases of the peripheral nervous system, ie a part of the nervous system is disturbed in its function. Pain or discomfort occurs in the feet, legs, hands or arms. The following diseases can be considered as triggers of polyneuropathy:

Diabetes mellitus, kidney diseases, vascular diseases, alcoholism and poisoning.

cerebral hemorrhage

A cerebral hemorrhage occurs when a blood vessel in the brain bursts. This bleeding can be intra- or extracerebral. One of the most common causes is high blood pressure (hypertension). Accidents involving head trauma, alcohol poisoning, obesity or the sac-like expansion of an artery (aneurysm) can also lead to a cerebral hemorrhage.

traumatic brain injury

A brain injury caused by an accident or fall with the following symptoms: headache, dizziness, visual disturbances, memory lapses, nausea, vomiting, unconsciousness.

Epilepsy

The term is not a description of a disease, but rather the result of various brain diseases. The characteristic is the increased tendency to epileptic seizures. These are very different, some last only a few seconds and manifest themselves in slight muscle twitching or brief absences (absences). Others last 1 to 2 minutes. Other characteristics are loss of consciousness, cramps and

uncontrollable twitching.

Headache

There are over 200 different types of headaches, the most common of which are tension headaches. These are dull and occur in the back of the head and neck. Tension headaches can last between half an hour and a week.

Migraine

A migraine attack begins gradually, is usually one-sided and can usually last from 4 to 72 hours. Migraines cause pulsating, moderate to severe headaches. Accompanying symptoms include nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to noise or light and often eye flickering.

brain tumor

A cancer that affects men more often than women. Tumor cells enter the brain as metastases from other tumors with the cerebrospinal fluid and settle there. This manifests itself in increased intracranial pressure, epileptic seizures, neurological deficits, personality changes, severe unusual headaches, dizziness, paralysis and nausea with vomiting.

Physiotherapeutic services

Please note:

Every physiotherapy is carried out according to the diagnosis of your general practitioner, orthopedist or neurologist!

general physiotherapy

serves to restore natural, physiological body functions in joints, muscles or the spine that are disturbed by pain, accidents or unclear origins. Instructions are given for exercises that can be active, passive or mixed.

Physical therapy and equipment

is tailored to your individual complaints, taking into account the current training theory. An active form of therapy lasting one hour is carried out for each individual. Some therapeutic effects are: improvement of muscle function taking into account the associated joint and supporting tissue, improvement of muscle structure in the case of structural damage and automation of functional movement sequences. You have my full attention and support.

Kinesio-Tape

was developed by the Japanese Dr. Kenzo Kase (chiropractor and kinesiologist). An elastic, self-adhesive, therapeutic tape is used and applied to the skin using various taping techniques. This creates positive sensory information in the body. The aim is to maintain full freedom of movement of the skin, joints and muscles in order to activate the body's own healing mechanisms. Taping is used in many areas of competitive sports for prevention and rehabilitation, in medicine and in physiotherapy.

Manual lymphatic drainage

(MLD) is a treatment method in physiotherapy that serves to improve the transport capacity of the lymphatic system. This enables the removal of edema, for example after breast cancer operations, sports accidents or lymph damage. The treatment duration can be 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes, depending on the doctor's prescription.

Medical Gymnastics according to Bobath

was developed more than 50 years ago by Bertha and Karel Bobath. This treatment helps with the rehabilitation of patients with a disease of the central nervous system. Functional and movement disorders, as well as posture deficits due to a lesion in the central nervous system are treated with it. The most important part of the therapy is a comprehensive analysis of the findings and the resulting systematic development of a treatment plan. This can include movement components, the influence of certain factors on the performance of normal activities, facilitation, gait analysis or gait training.

Classic massage

gives your body a feeling of well-being, relieves pain and is a natural method of promoting and maintaining health. It helps with tension in the back, shoulders, neck and legs, as well as headaches, menstrual cramps and sleep disorders and helps to reduce stress. The massage includes various grip techniques.

Breathing Therapy

consists of various techniques that make breathing easier for the patient. It is important for you to be consciously aware of your respiratory muscles and your posture. Recommended, for example, in the case of respiratory dysfunction, shortness of breath or coughing with sputum.

Foot reflexology massage

A reflex is an automatic reaction of the central nervous system to a nerve stimulus. When pressure is applied to the foot, e.g. to the reflex zone that is connected to the stomach, this stimulus is transmitted via neuronal connections in the spinal cord. Reflex zones are therefore areas that are connected to distant parts of the body through nerve switching in the spinal cord. There are reflex zones all over the body - on the back, hands, feet and ears (acupuncture points).

relaxation therapy

is a treatment method for relieving muscular tension and cramps, including through massage. It also helps to eliminate psychologically caused physical tension.

Physiotherapy on a neurophysiological basis

is suitable for patients suffering from a disease of the central nervous system. This includes complaints that originate from the brain, spinal cord or spinal canal, but also peripheral paralysis or muscle changes.

fascia treatment

(Myofascial Release): The fascia are, as a component of the connective tissue, the tissue that surrounds and penetrates the body as a connecting tension network. They refer to the skin that stretches around muscles and muscle groups, organs and the vascular and nervous systems. The fascia provide elasticity, load-bearing capacity, body awareness and smooth power transmission. If they are stuck together, this causes pain. Lack of exercise promotes the adhesion of the fascia and increases tension. Therefore, you should not avoid exercise when you are in pain, because this will make the symptoms worse. Therefore, exercise is both treatment and

as well as a preventive measure.

sports physiotherapy

As part of physiotherapy, it includes, among other things, the treatment and care of athletes in prevention and treatment after injuries, as well as subsequent rehabilitation. For this, good cooperation with sports physicians is of great importance.
